We made it to 2021. It feels like a fresh and clean slate has arrived. Among the many lessons we learned in 2020 is just how important self-care is, for both our mental and physical well-being. I plan to carry this ritual into the new year and beyond. Will you join me? Here are five skincare resolutions that are easy to keep – now and always.

Cleanse your face twice daily-

Yes, it’s that simple. Cleansing should be a non-negotiable step in any skincare routine. This year, make a vow to keep your cleansing routine consistent—you should cleanse every morning before applying your makeup and also every evening before heading to bed. Check out some of our ,,favorite cleansers.

Exfoliate 1-2 times a week-

The only way to get rid of dead skin cells that build up on our pretty faces is to exfoliate! A couple of times a week, use a physical or chemical exfoliator to help slough away any buildup for smoother-looking and softer-feeling skin. Hello, glow and goodbye, dullness. Check out this ,,DIY exfoliator.

Moisturize twice daily-

Keeping your skin hydrated is critical in ensuring it looks and feels its best. The key to maintaining hydration is applying moisturizer and/or a hydrating serum morning and night. Here are some of our ,,favorite moisturizers.

Don’t neglect your neck and chest-

This is one that I’ve become much more diligent about. Your face may look youthful, but if you’re neglecting the skin on your neck and chest, it WILL show. You don’t need to purchase a separate neck cream. Simply use whatever hydrating products you use on your face on the delicate skin of your neck and chest.

Use sunscreen daily-

I’ve saved the most important resolution for the end – use sunscreen daily, whether the sun is shining or not, whether you are outside or indoors. Skin damage from the sun is the culprit for aging skin, sun spots, skin cancer, and so much more. Whether you use a ,,tinted moisturizer with spf or a sunscreen on its own, this is an essential step in your skincare regimen. Check out some of our ,,favorite non-toxic sunscreens.

Happy 2021 from St. Eden!
